The Lithgow Business Association currently operates under the Model Constitution for Incorporated Associations as set out by the Department of Fair Trading.

At present, the Lithgow Business Association is currently looking at making changes to the Model Constitution to adopt as our own. These changes are set out below.
2. Membership Generally
Rewording of Point (2) (a)
Any person, firm or company engaged in commerce, trade, services, industry, manufacturing or tourism shall be eligible to make application for membership.
Rewording of Point (2) (b)
Applications for membership shall be on the form prescribed by the Executive Committee and lodged with the Secretary. Applicants shall become members if elected by resolution of the Executive Committee on payment of the prescribed subscription but the Association reserves the right to reject any application for membership without giving reason.
3. Nomination of Membership
Removal of this complete section. Nominations for Membership will no longer be required.
8. Fees and Subscriptions
Deletion of Point (1)
Rewording of Point (2):
A member of the association must pay to the association an annual membership fee of $100 or, if some other amount is determined by the committee, that other amount:
becoming a member and before 1 July in each succeeding calendar year.
14. Composition and Membership of Committee
Point (2) to be reworded:
The minimum number of committee members is to be 7.
18. Casual Vacancies
Rewording of Point (2) (g):
of the committee, or
20. Committee Meetings and Quorum
Rewording of Point (5)
A quorum for the transaction of the business of a meeting of the Committee is 5.
